04 — rules

the small print, upfront.

  1. Open to any individual or team of up to 3 with a GitHub account and a working laptop.
  2. Each challenge has a defined DSA primitive and a real AI integration requirement.
  3. Submissions must be a public GitHub repository with a working README and install script.
  4. Submissions are graded by the Samīkṣaka agent — not humans. Same rubric on every entry.
  5. Rubric: Functionality 40 pts · AI Agent Usage 30 pts · Code Quality 30 pts.
  6. Score under 50 is rejected; feedback is always included so you can resubmit.
  7. One submission per challenge per team. You may resubmit once before the deadline.
  8. Plagiarism detection is automatic. Flagged submissions are disqualified.
  9. Winners announced within 7 days of cohort close. Prizes paid via bank transfer.
  10. Gavedu employees and immediate family are ineligible.

Is this free to enter?

Yes. Always. Free to enter, free to submit, free to win prizes. No subscription, no Gavedu account required to compete.

Can I enter if I'm not based in India?

The June 2026 cohort is the India cohort — prizes are INR cash, disbursed after PAN or Aadhaar verification. Other regional cohorts are planned. See /cohorts for updates.

Do I have to use Charioteer or Forge to compete?

No. Use any tools you like — any language, any LLM provider, any IDE. Charioteer and Forge are products we sell. They are not required to compete or win.

What if the Samīkṣaka grades me wrong?

Appeal within 48 hours of grading. A three-person human panel re-grades. Their decision is final; both the original verdict and the panel's reasoning are published on your leaderboard entry.

Can I resubmit if my score is low?

Yes. Submit as many times as you want before the deadline — your highest score per challenge counts. Score under 50 gets automatic feedback so you know exactly what to fix.
